Lane's Neighborhood

Lane had an unconventional childhood and was raised by her Aunt Evelyn in New York City since she was ten years old. I tried to envision a young woman raised by the likes of Gertrude Stein or Dorothy Parker. Aunt Evelyn was raised in Europe and has old money to her name, so I  had them reside on the Upper East Side. There is so much of Lane’s part of town that is the same today. Even some of the shops! To take a look at Lane’s neighborhood Then and Now, see her street and the townhouse that I used as inspiration for her home with Aunt Evelyn.
